Romans 7:14-20
Let's talk about goals!
Are you walking to get sunshine?
Are you walking to lose weight?
Are you walking to get fresh air?
Are you walking to connect with new people?
All of us have our own goals. Today lets think about what goals we would like to reach as individuals. Our focus while walking is our physical health but we all know that our mental and physical health also play a part in how we feel physically.
Think about situations in our lives that may be affecting us and pray on how to resolve them.
Read Romans 7:14-20.
14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[c] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
Do you agree with these verses?
Do these verses carry wisdom that could help us to understand ourselves better?
What to Expect
Location: Unless notified differently, we meet at Southeast Park to walk. This is the park that can be found next to the church.
Parking: We park in the lot closest to the park at Cornerstone Church, which is next door.
Time: Tuesday, 9/2/2025 at 6:30 pm
What to expect: Our goal is to walk four times around the paved track at the park. It typically takes about 1 hour. During this walk, we will have our weekly discussion.
What to bring: Wear comfortable walking shoes and comfortable clothes. Bring your praise reports, and prayer requests.
Next week we will begin our discussion in the book of Numbers chapters 1-3 but the focus will be on Chapter 3..
Last Week's Discussion:
We started the semester the right way - by praising Him!

We read Psalm 145 - and discussed the awesomeness of God. We heard personal stories of how good God has pulled us through many trials but we also thanked Him for the small triumphs.

Last semester, we started doing trail walks one Saturday a month. So far, we have walked the Botanical Gardens and Watson Mill Park. Our next adventure will be Sandy Creek Park. Think about what Saturdays would be best for us to trail walk. We typically walked early Saturday morning or late evening.

Potluck Tuesday was also a suggestion from last semester. Anyone interested in doing a Potluck once a month? Open to suggestions on an ideal day and time we can do this.
Christmas wrapping party! Save the date December 17th.
What is a wrapping party? It is where we can bring our personal Christmas gifts to wrap in a fun, food-filled, camaraderie-filled environment. Invite others whom you think may benefit. Don't have much to wrap, then prepare to help others. Wrapping paper and tape will be available. Please feel free to donate any wrapping materials if you feel led.
Health goals
Pray and think about the goals that God has for your life. He has many, but one of the areas we concentrate on in Walk and Talk is our health. How do you think God wants us to care for ourselves? What steps are we taking to be the best person we can be?
See you Tuesday!!
Keep up with Cornerstone Events!
