All athens feed my starving children event volunteers

Since we are just two weeks away from the event, I wanted to send you a reminder with the key information. If you registered as a group leader but did not provide emails for your group members, please forward this email to them.

Arrival

Please arrive at Stegeman Coliseum 10 - 15 minutes before your scheduled packing session so we can get you checked in. Enter through Gate H on the Carlton St. side of Stegeman Coliseum (see aerial photo below).

We're Counting on You!

If for some reason you are unable to come to your session, please cancel your reservation ASAP through our website so others will have the chance to sign-up. We need all our volunteers to be able to pack the meals for these kids.

Fundraising and Volunteer Registration

All our volunteer spots are currently reserved but we will get openings as some people cancel. Also, if you have family or friends who would like to volunteer to pack, please tell them they are welcome to come since we can accommodate some walk-ins.

We still have some fundraising to do to pay for the meal ingredients so please donate if you can (and haven't already). Just $106 will feed a child for a year and $424 will feed a family for a year! If we can exceed our goal, it will give us a head start for next year's event when we are planning a major increase to 250,000 meals.

Parking

Parking will be in the McPhaul lot across from Stegeman Coliseum (off Carlton St.). There is no charge to park. The address for Stegeman Coliseum is 100 Smith St., Athens, GA 30605.

Food Donations Requested

Since we have food insecurity in the Athens area, if you can, please bring dry and canned food items to be distributed to Athens-area needy families through a local food pantry.
