Connect With Others
Find Your Family

There is a certain kind of freedom in discovering that there are others in the world that relate to certain aspects of your life. Especially those subjects that keep us up at night making us feel like we are outcast, different, unworthy.
Birth pains, exhaustion from child-rearing, difficulties of business ownership, the stress of marital life, sypmtoms of meonpause, and biblical doubts are just a few of the topics that can trick us into feeling alone. But ironically, these topics are also a very good reason why we should be connecting with others.
It is so easy to allow our thoughts to get the best of us. God created us to be creative which is wonderful. But our creative minds can create chaotic negative thoughts just as well as it can create good ideas.
Chaos can throw us off course and have us stuck in the negative. Devastating life happenings such as cancer, a death or sickness of a loved one, stress because of a change on the job, new addition to the family. etc. God can be a part of the healing and joy of all things good and bad. But, it can be easy to forget. Or because we are in so much pain we just can't see and feel that He is still with us. That is why it's important to surround ourselves with trustworthy people who know and follow God. Why? Because in all our chaos and imperfection He can send them to remind us.
I believe that is why He created parental families as well as the church family. That is why Jesus sent the disciples out in pairs. When a family puts God at the center of their life, even when one of the family members goes through a change in life, the other family members are there to physically share in the joy and pain but to also help keep God at the center.
“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” Ephesians 4:16
"And he called the twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits. 8 He charged them to take nothing for their journey except a staff—no bread, no bag, no money in their belts— 9 but to wear sandals and not put on two tunics." Mark:6-7
